Village of Westmont Quincy Streetscape

SWE Solutions provided drone survey and aerial rendering for the construction of Addington Plaza in Downtown Westmont. Located next to the Westmont Metra Station between Cass Avenue and Quincy Street, the plaza is a central location for both locals and visitors.

The total project included plaza reconstruction with precast concrete seats and retaining walls, brick pavers, concrete sidewalk, curb and gutter, light foundations, and landscaping elements.

The project's scope of work includes the following items:

Topographic Survey.

Data capture via RTK drone and traditional GPS. Area encompasses along Quincy Street between Cass Ave and Grant St, as well as Lincoln St from Quincy, north to the Alleyway. Deliverables include DGN with all topo features, terrain model, and GPS text files.

CADD Support.

Expertise in MicroStation, providing CADD files for prime concept level sketches. Concept design includes streetscape & landscaping features, site furnishings with outdoor seating, pedestrian lighting, traffic study & parking assessment, EV parking feasibility, and site geometrics.

3D Modelling.

High quality 3D drone model of existing site conditions. Web access link for direct client viewing.

Aerial Photography & Videography.

Aerial 4K video flyover and photos used for presentations to the Village of Westmont and the public.

4D Visualization.

Utilize 3D model to create video for public, adding traffic simulation. Option to show proposed vs. existing conditions.
